Glass, is an indispensable part of the doors and windows, the early construction of doors and windows are single-layer flat glass, the development of the current glass, insulating glass, laminated glass, bullet-proof glass. Most of today's doors and windows products use tempered glass.
First, how to distinguish between tempered glass and ordinary glass?
1, look at the glass logo
See whether the glass corner of the steel logo, playing 3c mark (scraping the kind of) are basically tempered glass. The processing procedure of the tempered glass is to cut the ordinary float glass into the desired size, then grind, clean, and press the country to certify the CCC mark. The glass after the finished product is not cut or processing. And ink in the general situation after the high temperature is scraping off. (If your home glass on the 3C logo can be wiped off by hand, it can be concluded that the basic fake glass.
2, to see if the slight deformation
From the side to see whether the glass is slightly deformed, because the glass through the high temperature firing, there will be a slight deformation of the phenomenon, which can only be seen from the side of the glass, the front is generally not easy to see.
3, look at the glass fragments
Ordinary glass is broken after the large sheet, sharp angle, easy to hurt. Tempered glass is broken after the granular, corners are blunt, not easy to hurt.
Second, the tempered glass by shape points: flat tempered glass and curved glass
Generally more commonly used flat tempered glass thickness of 4,5,6,8,10,12,15,19 mm eight; more commonly used surface tempered glass thickness of 5,6,8,10 mm four.
Third, the tempered glass by the process points: physical steel and chemical steel
Physical tempered glass will be ordinary flat glass or float glass in a specific process conditions, the quenching method or air-cooled quenching method from processing. Chemical tempered glass is the ordinary flat glass or float glass through the ion exchange method, the glass surface molecules change, so that the glass surface to form a layer of stress layer processing processing.
4, the characteristics of tempered glass:
1, high impact strength
Higher than ordinary glass 4 to 5 times; bending strength, 5 times higher than ordinary flat glass; thermal stability, and can withstand the temperature difference of 200 ℃; and smooth, transparent, non-cutting and so on. In case of super impact damage, the fragments were scattered small granular, no sharp edges and corners, it is also known as safety glass.
2, after the thickness of the steel will be slightly thinner
The reason for the thinning is that after the hot-melt softening of the glass, it is cooled by the strong wind force so that the crystal space inside the glass becomes smaller and the pressure becomes larger, so that the glass is thinner than before the steel is made. Under normal circumstances 4-6mm glass in the steel after thinning 0.2-0.8mm, 8-19mm glass in the steel after thinning 0.9-1.8mm. The degree of detail should be determined by the equipment.
